February/March 2007
February was a super busy month for us and that is why we are sending out such a delayed update. Well, let’s get on to the things that have been keeping us so busy and help catch everyone up to speed.
First of all, the album is NOW COMPLETE. We’ve been working on it so long, it’s unbelievable that we’ve finally reached an end, and with that a really killer product. The Anatomy of Heart Break is a 9 tracked release.
The following is the tracking information:
1. Pointy Ribs
2. (Pushed Away) Empty
3. My Heart, the Whore
4. Lack of Faith
5. What I Feel…
6. TRUTH
7. Church of the Poison Mind
8. I Taste Fine (not of sound mind)
9. This Is for You (My Heart Beat)
The album was self-produced at Dead Zone Studios, with Toddy T (Dead Girls Corp., The Nervous Return, My Ruin, Orgy, etc.) engineering, here in Hollywood, CA, mixed by Rae DiLeo (Army of Anyone, Filter, Veruca Salt, Henry Rollins, etc.) and mastered by Jeff King (the king of mastering) at Threshold Sound. It also features guest appearances by Gary Finneran (of Tuscaurora, formerly of The Ex-Idols) on the duet of “What I Feel…,” “Agent” Robin Moulder (of TCR, formerly of Jack Off Jill) on bass and Kerri X (Dead Girls Corp.) on guitars. The band holds solid with Ken Colosa on bass, Christina Hudson on guitar and TC Smith singing. Erin Bush did track the drums on the album before moving out of state.
We have set a release date of April 3rd for the album and if you go to our Merchandise page on the website you may pre-order yourself a copy. If you have signed up on our message board you may also now pre-order the band’s t-shirts. CD’s will cost only $10 for the pre-sale and t-shirts will be $14 with long sleeves being $20. After April 3rd, our prices will go up, so you will want to get in while the price is literally a steal.
Also, we have started our first contest to win you a free limited edition release of the Satiate shirt, a disc of remixes and an autographed movie poster. We outlined the details in the previous update; please feel free to read through it and submit some artwork to win.
Because we don’t want to give too much away off of the album, we decided to post one of the many remixes that we’ve received on our MySpace page. This remix was done by Joe Bishara (Rasputina, 16 Volt, My Ruin, Marilyn Manson, etc.)
We’ve been getting asked some really interesting questions lately. The main two have been DJ’s wanting to do remixes and people inquiring about interviews/features/reviews on Satiate for your sites/magazines/radio stations. Please contact us here: band@satiated.net for more information. Just for the record, we LOVE indie local DJ’s and publications, so hit us up and we’ll see about taking care of you.
On some side notes:
TC officially launched her own t-shirt line. You may check it out here: http://13blacksheep.com (or on MySpace). She’s currently only doing sales in the U.S. If you have any questions or live outside the U.S. and want to purchase a t-shirt, please contact her at dearbertie@13blacksheep.com or on the MySpace page.
You may also catch out some of TC’s graphic designs featured on her friend Ronna’s line, Decomposure Clothing.
Also, The Gravedancers will be released on DVD on March 27th. Purchase yourself a copy to hear the score by Joseph Bishara featuring guest appearances of Melora of Rasputina on cello and TC’s vocals. For more information go here: The Gravedancers.
January 2007
Well the mixing is done on the album and now we’re patiently waiting for the album to be mastered in early February. It’s sounding absolutely amazing. As an extra bonus, we put “Lack of Faith” up on the MySpace. Check it out with “I Taste Fine(Not of Sound Mind)” and toss us some feedback on what you think of the songs.
So far, we’ve put up some new links on the Links page for some cool bands for you guys to check out, plus TC’s friend, Vaughn’s site, Evil Grin Designs which just recently relaunched.
The movie, The Gravedancers, (TC did vocal work in the score with Joe Bishara and Melora from Rasputina, and the voice over for the ghost, Emma) is slated to come out March 27th on DVD.

December 2006
Well, after Thanksgiving’s turkey coma, it was back into the studio to get through the mixing of the album. The mixing is just days shy of being done and off and ready for everything to be mastered. Sorry it’s taken us so long, but well, we just want the album to sound the absolute best we can make it sound for all of you.
To help tide you over as a late holiday gift, we’ve decided to post the first mix of “I Taste Fine (Not of Sound Mind.)” We thought even to help build comparisons, to keep up the previously released pre-production available on our MySpace page. So you can see where we’ve been, where we are and maybe you can see a bit of the future with us. Also, if you go to the “Interact” page here on the site, you can also hear a small snip-it of the never before released “Lack of Faith,” which will also be featured on “The Anatomy of Heart Break.” We are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and are so looking forward to getting this music to those of you who’ve been so kind and patient for the duration of it all. If you have a moment, please take the time to comment on the band’s MySpace page or even the Official Message Board and let us know what you think.
On all other notes of interest, TCR is temporarily closing down its message board for the time being and is being redirected to our own Satiate board. (If you’ve been a member of the TCR Message Board, we’re giving you the special privilege of picking out your own personal ranking title on the board.) For other TCR news, TC’s also made a hike out to Detroit (ROCK CITY!) to begin some much needed recording on the next TCR EP release. Also check out the “Photos” page to check out a few new pictures of TC posted up to share.
Please everyone have a fun, exciting and yes, SAFE New Years!!!
Until 2007…
Satiate
P.S. Look to the Satiate Message Board in January for upcoming previews and free swag!
November 2006
We’re currently awaiting final mixes on The Anatomy of Heart Break, and are expected to have the finals back by early December. (The album is to feature 10 tracks and a few remixes.) From there, it’s just a matter of mastering the tracks and getting the cd available for the public. We already heard the first mix for the album and let’s just say that, we are extremely pleased with it.
Check out the Interact page when you get a moment and feel free to get your own Satiate Avators, LJ Icons, Wallpapers and the like. We also rehauled the Official Satiate Message Board, so make sure to sign up! If you’ve come up with your own artwork or ideas, please feel free to forward them to submit@satiated.net and we’ll get them up there to share with everyone. Please just make sure to let us know how you want them credited.
Speaking of rehauls, both the Satiate MySpace page and Live Journal have been updated. Check those out and let us know what you think.
Also, the movie that TC worked with Joe Bishara on for the score (also featuring Melora from Rasputina), The Gravedancers, recently had a killer turn-out for it’s part in the Horror Fest “8 Films to Die For.” (TC did a guest vocal appearance in the score as well as the voice for lead evil meanie ghost, Emma.)
We will be making announcements soon on the team that helped put the album together, the line-up and the final tracks that will be appearing on the album. Until then we ask for just a little more patience, this will be well worth the wait.

PLEASE HELP... REPOST...
Hi, everyone...
I want to thank you in advance for taking the time to read this. As you have read, I have been personally affected by the tornadoes that whipped across Tennessee. They destroyed my mothers and sisters hometown, Newbern. I lived in Newbern for only a short time, long enough to graduate from Dyer County, and I return frequently to visit my family and friends.
As of this morning, the death toll of my familys friends has risen to eight. The deaths do not tell the whole story: the homes of countless other friends and neighbors have been wiped away by the storms. Nearly all of them are now without jobs.
Im not writing this to discuss the tragedy. It is horrible in a way which needs no words. Im writing because this community the community of my family needs help. People have lost homes that have been in their families for generations. People have lost pets, friends, family members. People have lost everything, including the clothes on their backs.
I know that many of you are like me, and do not have much money to spare. Im not asking for money you cant afford. Im not even asking you for much of your time. I also know that every single one of you has $5 and five minutes of time. With those five minutes, I ask you to go to your closets and pull out the jeans, t-shirts, old sneakers and boots, and whatever other utilitarian clothes you have that you never wear. Id like you to go to your cupboards and pull out whatever canned foods you have that are gathering dust. Clean off the cans, wash those old clothes, and then Id like you to take that $5 to ship those items to these families in need.
Sizes do not matter the disaster struck for people of all sizes and all walks of life. Any letters, cards, well-wishes you would like to include, Im sure would be greatly appreciated as well.
If you live in or near Los Angeles and do not have the money to ship, but you would like to contribute, please contact me at paxismad@yahoo.com. I will do my best to help you out. All I ask is that you give me your items washed and boxed. I will be doing two main shipments, one on April 10th, with the deadline of the 9th, and again on the 19th, with a deadline of the 18th.

After a much needed removal of some garbage, Satiate is back at it in the thick of things.
Look for a new face, a new video, a new ALBUM (yep, we got the fundage and the much needed kick in the ass to push it from an EP to a FULL LENGTH album), a new series of West Coast dates.
Album tentatively titled "The Anatomy of Heart Break" is due to come out with a few goodies, such as "Pointy Ribs", "I Taste Fine (Not of Sound Mind)" and if you have seen us live, "Lack of Faith", with a ton of killer new songs, such as "What I Feel...", "Pushed Away Empty", "TRUTH", and yes, quite a few more.
We're going to be going into the studio in the next few weeks and yes, keep checking back here. There is going to be some new photos coming up, with clips of new songs, and maybe, just maybe, some stuff from an upcoming video for one of our songs.
Expect the music to be just as heavy and the lyrics brutal!!!
Forgive us for the lack of current updates, we were just clearing the junk away to provide you guys with something a bit more heartfelt and sincere instead of just trying to be fake with you and giving you filler.
March 2005
Sorry for the lack of updates lately, but we've been currently at our busiest ever. We got rid of some unnecessary junk, and added some new things. We're pretty excited. The new music is heavy and the lyrics are brutal. Expect some pretty intense things from us. We're are already going in the studio to being tracking for our album, The Anatomy of Heart Break. We also are doing two music videos!!! (More info. on that coming!) We'll be posting up new studio photos and live footage while tracking as soon as something settle in a bit. Keep checking back...there's a lot of new things coming your way.
